Autumn Term Two

At Woodland Nurture we offer a safe space where children can learn to problem solve, take turns, negotiate, collaborate, resolve conflicts, regulate their emotions, be creative and use their imagination.

Our code is Care for Yourself; Care for Others; Care for the Environment.

Wednesdays in the woods usually take place in the Orange Zone with lots of digging, fire lighting, crafting and tool work. We also have lots of opportunities for music on a Wednesday. The children can use the treenet, hammocks and swings. There will also be lots of nature based craft and cookery.

Our child-initiated sessions focus on the whole child with the aim to build self-esteem; core strength and coordination; resilience; confidence and friendships through SPICES – social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional and spiritual development.

The children will require a snack, a packed lunch and plenty to drink. We find that having the snack in a separate container to the lunch prevents them from eating all their lunch at snack time!

Attached is a clothing list - please send your children suitably equipped to every session -Change of clothes and footwear essential.

These sessions are also ideal for flexi-schooling to break up the school week.
